Wallows Interview
We speak to the rising alt-rock band about their debut LP & 'Spring' EP.

It’s a big day for Wallows’ growing legion of fans. The alt-rockers drop a mind-bending, animated video for “Treacherous Doctor” and announce 2020 headline tour dates. Let’s start with the former. An instant standout on Nothing Happens, “Treacherous Doctor” is a rather unflattering ode to therapy. “Could I trust you with my thoughts or would you use them all against me?” the band ponders over John Congleton’s crunchy production. “Can you replace my eyes for yours and see what I really look like?”

Unfortunately, it doesn’t quite go to plan and Wallows ends the song with the hauntingly relatable outro: “Hey, treacherous doctor, do you know what’s the matter with me?” For the video, Braeden, Cole and Dylan turn to Lawrence Becker. He brings the song to life via stop motion animation using felt cutouts. It’s a striking, compulsively watchable mind-fuck that deserves your full attention. Now for that tour. The band’s 2020 dates begin in Birmingham, Alabama on February 13. See all the dates below and get your tickets here.
