She’s Back! Tinashe Appears To Be Readying New Music

UPDATE 1: We were right! Tinashe is readying a new project called ‘Songs For You,’ and it is coming soon. Check out her confirmation and preview video below.

UPDATE 2: This post has been updated to include the official trailer for Songs For You. Check it out below.

Last week Tinashe shared some very exciting news on Twitter. She’s back! “I know I’ve been quiet for a minute,” she admitted in a heartfelt video. But there was a good reason for her absence. “I’ve been in my cave. I’ve been working. But I’ve been so inspired lately. Just feeling so free.” The 26-year-old also alluded to a difficult journey that challenged the way she thinks of art. However, there was a positive spin. “I’ve been going through a lot of changes. And creatively I just feel like I needed to go through what I went through in order to be the person that I am today.”

Many fans took the tweet as a sign that music is coming very soon, and it looks like they’re right. Yesterday (September 30), the “All Hands On Deck” siren shared a promising video on Instagram. “I’m too emotional,” she sings over footage of her sitting at a computer. And that’s not all. Today she posted some footage of herself posing for a camera. And her latest update comes with the promise of “soon.” Nothing’s official just yet, but I’m taking this to mean that a new single could be arriving in the very near future. If so, it’s something that’s been in the works for a while.

After all, Tinashe teased the look from her latest video on Instagram earlier this summer. She also shared a snippet from what seems to be a different song back in April. Hopefully this means that she’s getting ready for a serious comeback. Check out her latest teasers below.
