Country/EDM hybrids are becoming increasingly common (Diplo is releasing a whole album of them), but Marshmello and Kane Brown’s “One Thing Right” is one of the first to really connect. The twangy bop is already top 50 on the Billboard Hot 100, and should climb a lot higher given surging airplay and a show-stopping TV debut. The unlikely collaborators performed the song on today’s (October 2) episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show and got more than one thing right.

The cleverly-staged performance begins with Marshmello and Kane pulling up outside the studio. The bucket-headed DJ and country superstar then make their way through the TV studio, stopping to give the occasional high five, before walking through the audience towards the stage. It’s a fun twist on your standard TV performance that is made even better by Kane’s excellent (and obviously live) vocals. Don’t be too surprised if “One Thing Right” goes top 10 in the weeks to come. Watch the guys in action below.
