Lauv Reveals ‘~how i’m feeling~’ Cover & Release Date, Drops “Sims”
The good news is that Lauv’s long-awaited debut LP, ~how i’m feeling~, finally has a release date. The bad news is that it isn’t until March 6, 2020. The singer/songwriter, who recently penned Celine Dion’s “Imperfections,” also unveiled the amusing cover art (bottom of post). It finds the “I Like Me Better” hitmaker surrounded by mini-Lauvs wearing colorful outfits. In addition to revealing the cover and release date, Ari Leff (his real name) also dropped a new sad-boy bop called “Sims.”
“I wish that you and I lived in the Sims, we could build a house and plant some flowers and have kids,” Lauv begins the mid-tempo tune. “But we’re both at some trashy Halloween party downtown and I’ll probably never see you again.” That might sound like a bit of a downer (and it is), but the chorus is even more fatalistic. “I wish we would’ve met on another night, baby,” he croons. “In another life, baby.” All in all, “Sims” is another stellar addition to ~how i’m feeling~.
