Jennifer Lopez & Maluma Start Filming Rom-Com ‘Marry Me’
UPDATE: That was quick! Jennifer Lopez hopped onstage with Maluma during his 11:11 World Tour stop at Madison Square Garden to perform a new version of “No Me Ames” together. According to Billboard, it is for Marry Me. Check out some footage below.
Jennifer Lopez is currently earning rave reviews for her performance in Hustlers, but the ultimate triple threat is already moving onto her next role. She is starring in an upcoming romantic comedic called Marry Me alongside Owen Wilson (it’s an Anaconda reunion!) and Maluma (more about him later). “The art of collaboration… it’s what I love about this business!” J.Lo captioned a series of pics from a script reading. “True magic happens when inspiration meets the absence of ego.”
“It’s so much fun when different artists come together and everyone contributes to create something special and true and real for everyone to experience and enjoy!” According to Variety, the film is described as “a cross between Notting Hill and A Star Is Born.” Need more information? “The pic explores the possibilities of what might happen when a superstar marries an average Joe as a joke and discovers that perhaps there are no accidents.” I’m guessing Jennifer is the superstar and Owen is the average Joe.
Now where does Maluma fit into this equation? There’s usually a love triangle in this kind of movie, so maybe he’s a rival suitor. Or he could just be part of her character’s entourage. Whatever the case may be, I’m hoping we get a collaboration on the soundtrack. It’s what we deserve. See Jennifer and Maluma’s respective posts below.
