UPDATE: It looks like Iggy Azalea may kick off her latest era with a new song next week. Check out the tweet below.

Iggy Azalea’s work ethic is seriously commendable. The 29-year-old dropped her sophomore LP In My Defense this summer, and she’s already gearing up for her next step. It looks like that is going to be an EP. Taking to Twitter, the rapper casually broke the news while enthusing about decorating for Halloween. After a fan clocked her for getting a late start to the day, the rapper explained she stays up into the early morning to record. Of course that sparked speculation about a new project, and Iggy was quick to clarify. “I’m dropping an EP next month no hint needed,” she stated.

For those who are wondering, the EP won’t be comprised of In My Defense leftovers. “No, i like to stick to a sound etc. for each project,” Iggy wrote. “So I would never take something from a previous project that wasn’t good enough to make the cut and then slop it onto a new one. That’s madness.” Presumably one of the songs on the tracklist will be the single she teased last month. That is supposed to sample a beloved song from the ’50s and features several other girls. We don’t know who just yet, but we can cross Charli XCX and Kim Petras off the list.

The “Started” diva confirmed they weren’t on the song while defending them from a hater on Twitter. Beyond that, it’s a guessing game. No matter what, I’m willing to bet it will be a serious banger. Check out Iggy’s latest tweets below while we wait for more news.
