Shakira's 'Tutu' Remix
The Latin pop star teams up with Camilo and Pedro Capó for 'Tutu' remix.

Shakira unleashed her remix of Camilo and Pedro Capó’s chart-conquering “Tutu” earlier today and then fired up FaceTime to chat about it with Zane Lowe for Apple Music’s Beats 1. “This song is like a disease,” she confessed. “I can’t get it out of my head so I decided to just jump on it, you know. The wheels started turning and I ended up making a remix for it.” Interestingly, the Latin legend also revealed that new music is on the way. “I’m just taking every input that I receive and it’s turning into inspiration,” the 42-year-old explained.

“Yesterday I finished a song and I was so thrilled,” Shakira continued. “So we’ll see. I just want to put music out there.” Hopefully, that means we’ll get new tunes in time for Super Bowl. Speaking of which, the enduring hitmaker also opened up about her involvement. “I think it’s like the holy grail of the entertainment industry,” she began. “It’s a sports event but it has a huge relevance for us artists.” How did it come about? “Jay Z is producing the show and he called me and asked me if I wanted to be a part of that. Of course, I didn’t hesitate.”

“He mentioned that Jennifer was also involved,” Shakira shared. “I think this is going to be an event to celebrate Latin culture and the importance of women also overall in the industry.” As for the setlist, it’s still up in the air. “It’s going to be very short,” she laughed. “Therefore very nerve-wracking, I think. You know, the wheels are already turning. I can’t stop thinking of ideas. Every day I have a new idea and now it’s a matter of making them all work.” Watch two clips of Shakira’s insightful interview below.
