It looks like Selena Gomez is finally ready to kick off a new era. The pop star set social media on fire this morning (October 17) by posting a mysterious black-and-white pic with the comment: “Rose colored glasses all distorted.” While that isn’t exactly indicative of new music, the fact that billboards have gone up in Times Square is. Now it’s just a matter of when. Will Selegend bless us with new music tonight (New Music Friday is just around the corner) or will she make us wait a little longer?

The 27-year-old has been working on the followup to Revival for a very long time. “I’m actually done,” Selena told Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show. “I have to do a few finishing things with it, but I’m just relieved. It took me four years now to even feel at a good place with this album.” The “Back To You” hitmaker then opened up about the direction of SG2. “I think there’s always going to be a sense of strong pop in my music, but I definitely explore more with electric guitar, a lot of more soulful tracks underneath things,” she revealed.

Check out Selena’s mysterious update (below) while we wait for the title and release date.
