Carly Rae Jepsen’s generosity has known no bounds during the Dedicated era. Since kicking things off with “Party For One” last year, the 33-year-old has dropped several singles off the shimmery LP. That includes the likes of “Now That I Found You” and (my personal favorite) “Too Much.” Last month she unveiled a video in support of “Want You In My Room.” Now it looks like she’s turning her attention to another track. What’s up next? “The Sound.” And the first promotional push is coming in the form of a live rendition.

Today (October 18) she joins the New Music Friday lineup with an update on the thoughtful bop. Recorded in Lapland, Finland, CRJ sounds predictably sublime as she delivers the lyrics over a gorgeous soundscape. With any luck, a video will follow and the song will take off. The “Cut To The Feeling” icon has graced us with so much pop perfection this era, and it’s time that her hard work pays off. All things considered, she’s well past due for another chart-dominating smash. Dive into her latest and let us know if you think this will be it.
