Ali Gatie Announces Debut LP 'You'
The Canadian artist announces his debut album and drops new track 'Used To You.'

Ali Gatie’s breakout year continues with “Say To You.” The R&B singer, who landed a worldwide hit with “It’s You” (215 million+ Spotify streams and still climbing), returns with another emotional jam from his upcoming debut LP. This time around, the Canadian — of Iraqi descent — can’t stop thinking about his ex. “I can’t even lie, want you by my side,” he croons. “You left me empty and it’s something I can’t hide.” Unfortunately, the feeling is not reciprocated. “Everybody knows, they say that it shows,” Ali sings. “They know that I miss you, so I wonder how you don’t.”

By the time he reaches the chorus, the 22-year-old has come to his senses. Kind of. “Don’t know what to say to you, everything’s okay to you,” Ali laments. “Lately, you’ve been switching up, I can’t even trust your love.” The single release is accompanied by a lyric video (below) that finds the unlucky-in-love newcomer driving down a desert freeway. Ali’s debut album, You, is due in November. Given the quality of songs like “It’s You,” “Used To You” and now “Say To You,” it’s going to be essential listening.
