Tyga Teams Up With YG & Santana For “Mamacita”
After a stint as an independent artist, Tyga returns to the major label fold with “Mamacita.” The rapper’s first release for Columbia Records is a Latin-flavored hip-hop anthem featuring YG and legendary guitarist Carlos Santana. “Mamacita, where you at? I’ve been tryna reach ya,” the “Taste” hitmaker spits on the catchy chorus. “So pull up, baby, can I see ya? I’m down to meet ya.” YG then comes through with a couple of gems in his verse. “She bad in real life with no make up on,” he raps. “Fashionova jeans, I can see the thong!”
The video, which was directed by Tyga x Arrad, also arrived this morning (October 25) and it’s a big-budget affair that finds Tyga and YG partying in a Mexican bar. Things threaten to get out of control when eternal tough guy Danny Trejo makes an appearance and punches start flying. Through it all, Santana keeps it cool and shreds his guitar while everyone else starts to brawl. The rap mogul is promoting the song with a Halloween installation called Mamacita Of The Dead in Hollywood, CA. Get tickets to spooky event here.
