Iggy Azalea Links Up With Alice Chater On New Single “LOLA”

Iggy Azalea is coming through on her promise to drop new music next month. The “Started” rapper casually confirmed plans for an EP (believed to be titled Wicked Lips) on her very active Twitter account. Since then she’s spilled a couple details about the project. That includes information about the lead single – “LOLA.” The track features vocals from rising pop star Alice Chater and is due to arrive November 8. Today (October 30), the hard-working hitmaker hopped on social media to unveil the glamorous cover art. And it on par with the unforgettable In My Defense cover.

On it the divas simmer in emerald against an orange background. The contrasting colors are certainly striking. Hopefully the photo offer a taste of the accompanying video. Iggy reveled that she co-directed the project, which is apparently very “fashion focused”. I’m taking that to mean that we should expect some unforgettable looks. Hopefully the visual drops alongside the song. Although we don’t know much about “LOLA” yet, it appears to sample Rosemary Clooney’s “Mambo Italiano.” We also know that it will be very different from the hard-hitting bangers of In My Defense.

She said as much on Twitter. “I would never take something from a previous project that wasn’t good enough to make the cut and then slop it onto a new one. That’s madness.” Feast your eyes upon the glorious cover art below while we wait to learn more.
