Jason Derulo Announces Two-Part Project ‘2SIDES’
After releasing a steady stream of singles over the last three years, Jason Derulo is finally ready to release a larger body of work. The first installment of 2SIDES, a pair of EPs, will be released on Friday (November 8). “2SIDES embodies the concept of duality,” according to the press release. “There’s the side the public sees — the star we know and love — but there’s also a darker side, which is slowly revealed.” Interestingly, none of the hitmaker’s previously-released singles feature on the project.
As such, 2SIDES (Side 1) is comprised of six new tracks. There’s a collaboration with UK rapper Stefflon Don as well as a couple of songs with typically sexy titles (“F It Up” and “Talk With Your Body”). Jason is teasing the release with a cinematic trailer, which was filmed in Africa. In addition to rolling out 2SIDES, the 30-year-old will also make his film debut alongside Ian McKellen, Judi Dench, Taylor Swift and Jennifer Hudson in the big-screen adaptation of Cats.
