Meghan Trainor Reveals ‘Treat Myself’ Release Date, Drops “Workin’ On It”

Meghan Trainor has been working on her new album Treat Myself for what feels like an eternity now. The follow-up to 2016’s Thank You was originally due last year but hit a couple delays. Why? Because the newlywed was so inspired that she couldn’t stop working. Then she wrote too many love songs. Thankfully, she dropped several projects to tide us over (The Love Train EP is loved-up perfection and “Wave” is easily one of Meghan’s best singles to date). And there is finally a light at the end of the tunnel. Today (November 6), the 25-year-old announced her third LP will officially arrive January 31, 2020. “For realz this time,” she vowed.

She broke the news on The Ellen Degeneres Show before taking to social media to unveil the glossy cover art. “We’ve worked so hard to bring this album to life and I cannot wait to finally share it with the world,” Meghan wrote alongside the pic. The tracklist clocks in at 15 songs. One of those is “Wave.” Another is “No Excuses,” which kicked things off last year. In honor of all the good news, the diva also graced us with another taste of the project. Her new single “Workin’ On It” arrived online today. Featuring vocals from Lennon Stella and Sasha Sloan, it’s a heartfelt (and very relatable) anthem documenting their journeys toward self-love.

If the rest of Treat Myself is this good, then we’re in for something special next year. Feast your eyes on the glorious cover art and press play on “Workin’ On It” below. After doing that make sure to pre-order the rest of the album here.
