AJ Mitchell teams up with the 'Sweet But Psycho' singer for a cute collab.

AJ Mitchell has been prolific in 2019, rolling out an EP, multiple collaborations and a steady stream of singles from his upcoming debut album. They have all been good (particularly “Slow Dance” and “Afterhours”), but “Say It Again” takes it to the next level. A smooth, romantic bop co-written with Jake Torrey, Michael Pollack and The Futuristics, the 18-year-old’s latest is an instant earworm. AJ jumped on FaceTime this morning (November 6) to chat about his new single and artist journey with Zane Lowe for Apple Music’s Beats 1.

“I’m so happy to be just consistently releasing music,” the talented teen reveals. “I mean honestly in the beginning when I was a kid, I actually never wanted to be like in the spotlight. I always enjoying like making music and writing music, but I was like, ‘You know what? I want to give my songs to other people. I don’t want to be in the spotlight.'” Happily, he overcome that initial reluctance. “Once I started doing it more and once I started performing and doing it in front of people, it made me realize, ‘you know what? I can do this.'”
