UPDATE: Wicked Lips hit a last-minute snap. Iggy Azalea hopped on Twitter today to explain that one of the songs on the tracklist is still being mixed. As a result, she’s decided to push back the release date to next week. Check out her update below and revisit “LOLA” up top again to tide us over until then.

Iggy Azalea has been operating on another level throughout the entirety of 2019. The “Started” rapper turned up the heat with a string of tightly produced bangers and (if possible) even more impressive visuals. And it’s time that she got some more recognition for that. Hopefully it will come as she preps the release of her new EP Wicked Lips. The follow-up to her long-awaited sophomore LP In My Defense is due out this week, and the era is coming together nicely. It’s also shaping up to be another one for awe-inspiring visuals based on the collection’s cover art.

On it, the hitmaker poses in a blue dress while holding an apple wrapped in barbed wire. The end result is certainly fierce. Not only that, but it has me curious to see what else Iggy has in store coming up. Things are already off to an excellent start thanks to the success of lead single “LOLA.” Her collaboration with rising pop star Alice Chater debuted last week and already netted the divas a viral video. It amassed more than 4.4 million times over the weekend and shows no signs of slowing down anytime soon. With any luck, it will also earn them well-deserved success on the charts.

What else can we expect from Wicked Lips? According to Iggy, we should not expect In My Defense leftovers. “I would never take something from a previous project that wasn’t good enough to make the cut and then slop it onto a new one. That’s madness,” she tweeted last month. Based on what we’ve heard so far, I have very high expectations that this will be another win. While we wait for more details, fall in love with the cover art below. You can also revisit the “LOLA” video up top.
