Captain Cuts Want 'Summertime Love'
Captain Cuts join forces with Digital Farm Animals for 'Summertime Love.'

Perhaps best known for their songwriting and production credits (recent cuts includes Carly Rae Jepsen’s “Now That I Found You,” MARINA’s “Superstar” and Lennon Stella’s “Kissing Other People”), Captain Cuts is slowly making waves with their artist project. Since launching in 2016 with “Love Like We Used To,” the trio has released a steady stream of singles including 2018 hit “So Close” and 2019’s sizzling “Summertime Love.” Ben Berger, Ryan McMahon and Ryan Rabin’s winning streak continues with “Heat.”

A disco-infused collaboration with Parson James, “Heat” combines sounds from the past and present in an innovative way. “One thing I know — no love, no pain, so don’t let me go,” the “Stole The Show” croons over funky bass. “That ring of fire we can’t control, well we might just go up in smoke.” That leads us to the chorus, which finds Parson serving pure Sylvester. “Put your heat on mine, put your heat on mine,” he sings. “I wanna feel your heat.” The track then comes roaring back to 2019 with a wobbly drop.
