Tinashe Unleashes 'Die A Little Bit'
The R&B singer launches 'Songs For You' with a new single called 'Die A Little Bit.'

Tinashe’s self-released fourth album, Songs For You, arrived tonight (November 20) and it’s a winning collection of mid-tempo bops, sexy slow jams and bangers. The 26-year-old launched the project in late October with “Die A Little Bit.” A razor-sharp collaboration with UK rapper Ms Banks, this is the kind of druggy party anthem that Tee perfected with “2 On.” In other words, it should have been a huge hit. She then showed a completely different side on the vulnerable, 6LACK-assisted “Touch & Go,” which ranks as one of the standouts on Songs For You.

Other tracks that demand your full attention are “Story Of Us,” which evokes vintage Brandy, and the slinky, instantly hummable “Perfect Crime.” Pop fans will most likely gravitate towards the soft and pretty “Save Room For Us” and ruthlessly catchy “Know Better,” while “Hopscotch” and “Cash Race” cater to hip-hop lovers. The rest of the album oscillates between the two genres in a way that feels authentic in a way that some of her RCA releases did not. All in all, Songs For You is a reminder that Tinashe is a force to be reckoned with.
