Future Hit: Arizona's 'Roxanne'
Arizona Zervas has a huge hit on his hands with instantly catchy 'Roxanne.'

EDIT: Trevor Daniel has released the video for his breakthrough hit, “Falling.” Watch it below.

Making the leap from streaming success to chart hit used to be a near-impossible feat without the involvement of a major label, but it’s fast becoming the norm in 2019 thanks to tracks like Tones And I’s “Dance Monkey” and Arizona Zervas’ “Roxanne.” The next viral sensation in line to crossover is Trevor Daniel’s “Falling.” Originally released in late 2018, the moody hip-hop/pop concoction has exploded on Spotify in recent weeks — racking up more than 60 million combined streams.

What’s the appeal? Well, the Houston native taps into something universal. Namely, getting back on the proverbial horse after being thrown off and trampled. “My last made me feel like I would never try again, but when I saw you I felt something I never felt,” Trevor sing-raps on the catchy chorus. “Come closer, I’ll give you all my love — if you treat me right, baby, I’ll give you everything.” Given its streaming success, it’s only a matter of time (possibly as soon as next week), before “Falling” cracks the Billboard Hot 100.
