Taylor & Shawn's 'Lover' Remix
Taylor Swift teams up with Shawn Mendes for a remix to dreamy ballad 'Lover.'

It’s only Tuesday, but it has already been a big week for Taylor Swift. The superstar performed a medley of hits (and made some points via her costume and song choice) at the 2019 American Music Awards and was named Artist Of The Decade. She then unveiled a new version of “Lover” — the third different arrangement — that is destined to be played at weddings for the next couple of decades. After all, the “First Dance” remix, with its lovely strings, was created for that very moment.

While eyebrows were raised when Lover was snubbed for Album Of The Year at the 2020 Grammys, the title track was nominated for Song Of The Year. (Taylor’s fourth nomination in this category). It’s the only self-written song in the running, which is something to Grammy committee usually takes into account. Time will tell if the 29-year-old will have to make even more room in her awards cabinet, but she has to be a frontrunner. Listen to the new, achingly lovely remix of “Lover” below.
