In an interview with People magazine, Tom Hanks commented on his own filmography, saying, "No one knows how a movie is made — though everyone thinks they do. I've made a ton of movies (and four of them are pretty good, I think)."

He continued by adding that even after making so many movies, he's still amazed to see how a movie comes together from start to finish.
