Angel Wings & Masked Romance: Camila Cabello & Bazzi’s “Beautiful” Video

Tour mates turned collaborators Camila Cabello and Bazzi brought their “Beautiful” duet to life in their newly released music video. After teasing its arrival yesterday, the duo uploaded the Jason Koenig-directed visual today (October 15). In it, they put a fresh spin on the classic Cinderella story. Dressed in a pair of angel wings and a bedazzled mask, the “Never Be The Same” siren enters a party where she runs into her “Mine” collaborator. After their initial meeting, they spend the evening searching for one another. Finally, they reunite, and the crowd disappears as they dance in an enchanted glen. However, as the clock strikes midnight, Camila disappears, leaving her partner with her mask and a single feather as evidence of their romantic interlude.

Whimsical and lovely, it is hardly surprising that the video has amassed more than 275,000 views at the time of publication. I wouldn’t be surprised if the pair have a viral release on their hands. Since dropping their duet back in August, the single has been streamed more than 118 million times on Spotify alone. Strong streaming numbers helped the track soar to the number 42 spot on the Billboard Hot 100. With the right push, I wouldn’t be surprised to see the anthem crack the Top 40 in the coming weeks. In the meantime, Camila is preparing to tackle the charts with an orchestral take on her lush ballad, “Consequences.” The final single off her debut album received an emotional video featuring Dylan Sprouse, which has been viewed more than 8 million times in five days.
