Anitta & Alesso venture into the Amazon for their sexy 'Is That For Me' video.

Brazilian pop goddess Anitta has a hit on her hand with her new single, “Medicina.” 2017 proved to be a breakout year for the beguiling siren as she landed a series of major collaborations. She linked up with Iggy Azalea on the criminally underrated “Switch” and debuted on Billboard’s US Dance chart with an appearance on Major Lazer’s “Sua Cara.” She dropped a handful of additional English-language releases including the Poo Bear-assisted “Will I See You” and Alesso’s “Is That For Me.” Meanwhile, she hit the Top 40 in Brazil with “Downtown” and “Vai Malandra.” This year, the 25-year-old already dropped her sexy “Indecente.” Considering her bevy of releases, it is hardly surprising that her latest anthem is all about the transcendent properties of music. Over a bright production, she loses herself in the song and alludes to the ability to find healing in the beat.

The accompanying video puts a global spin on the lyrics. Directed by Harold Jimenéz, it pays tribute to a variety of cultures across the world. Shot on-location, it features youths of different nationalities dancing along to the irresistible beat. Anitta appears in a variety of settings as well. In one scene she dances down an alley. Holding a turquoise umbrella that perfectly contrasts the golden walls, she stands out as the center of attention. In another scene she is seen on the roof of a building. With the roof covered in a rainbow of chalk, this is a particularly memorable moment. All things considered, it looks like she will soar back up the charts with her new single. In just a few hours, the video has been viewed nearly 1.5 million times. It is another impressive achievement for the hitmaker who recently landed a judging position on Mexico’s The Voice and announced a series with Netflix that is meant to highlight her international career. Watch “Medicina” up top and revisit “Indecente” below.
