Pop Stars On Same-Sex Marriage Ruling
Madonna, Lady Gaga, Miley and more weigh in on this historical decision.

Last night (June 28), Ariana Grande headlined New York Pride’s Dance on the Pier, a fundraiser that has previously seen performers like Cher, Janet Jackson and Jennifer Lopez. During her set she expertly blended Whitney Houston‘s “I’m Every Woman” with Madonna‘s “Vogue” — the best possible mashup for the occasion.

The crowd of about 10,000 seemed excited enough to hear Grande sing the dramatic opening minutes of Houston’s “I’m Every Woman,” the Chaka Khan cover she recorded for 1992’s The Bodyguard OST. Then the “Vogue” beat kicked in, which had her and her backup dancers striking poses and looking fierce. The end result is almost as good as when, during a recent concert, she grabbed a rainbow flag from an audience member and waved it around during “Break Free” — another great display of her Pride support.
