Ariana Grande, Shawn Mendes, Logic & Ryan Tedder To Take The Stage At The 2018 VMAs

Ariana Grande, Shawn Mendes, Logic and Ryan Tedder were amongst the first acts confirmed to take the stage at the 2018 MTV Video Music Awards. After teasing their first batch of performers earlier this week, organizers made things official today (August 2). And the night is already shaping up to be a star-studded affair. Ari is expected to sweeten the evening with a stunning rendition of her current single, “God Is A Woman.” Meanwhile, the “Nervous” crooner will work his way through his rousing “In My Blood” and Logic and Ryan will perform their new single, “One Day.” There’s no word on if OneRepublic will join them onstage, but the band could easily line up a performance of “Connection.” The only other confirmed performer is Jennifer Lopez, who is also set to receive the coveted Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award.

It remains to be seen who else will bless Radio City Music Hall with a performance on August 20. It seems likely that producers are trying to tie down some of the night’s most nominated acts. Cardi B lead the pack with 10 nods in various categories, but the “I Like It” chart-topper may not be ready to perform after giving birth last month. Perhaps The Carters (as in Beyonce and JAY-Z) have something up their sleeves. Considering how iconic Bey’s last performance was for the awards show, she would be an obvious choice. I wouldn’t be surprised if Nicki Minaj lines up a set as well. The “Bed” rapper will be fresh off dropping Queen and is always reliable for a hot moment onstage. Keep your eyes peeled for more performers in the coming weeks. In the meantime, check out the first announcements below!
