Breaking Down Beyoncé's Coachella Set
We single out 10 highlights from the diva's brilliant Coachella set.

Beyoncé’s brilliant week continues. The Lemonade icon is soaring high after her history-making set at Coachella this weekend. The nearly 2-hour performance included a Destiny’s Child reunion, amazing costumes and intricate-choreographed feats and is sure to go down as one of the strongest festival appearances of all time. She also made headlines by announcing her Homecoming Scholars Award, which offers $100,000 in scholarship to students from historically black colleges and universities.

Today (April 17), Queen Bey extended her gold standard week with a pair of nominations at the 2018 Billboard Music Awards. The 36-year-old is in the running against the likes of Rihanna and SZA for the title of Top R&B Female Artist. She is also shaking up the Latin categories with her contribution on J Balvin and Willy William’s “Mi Gente.” The remixed version of the track featuring Beyoncé made chart history when it stormed the top 3 of the Billboard Hot 100 last year.

Other notable nominees include Kendrick Lamar, Bruno Mars and Ed Sheeran. The trio each nabbed an impressive 15 nods a piece. They are competing against one another in some of the biggest categories of the evening including Top Artist, Top Male Artist and Top Hot 100 Song.

Cardi B is the most nominated women this year. The “Bodak Yellow” femcee is in the running for the title of Top New Artist and may take the Billboard Chart Achievement Award after dominating the charts with her breakout single. In both categories she is competing with Camila Cabello. The former Fifth Harmony member made her own chart history last year by topping both the Hot 100 and 200 Albums chart in the same week (a feat that was achieved by the likes of Britney Spears with her own debut LP and single).

The 2018 Billboard Music Awards air live on May 20. This year’s show takes place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas and will be hosted by Kelly Clarkson. It is the first year the ceremony will be run on NBC, which is also the home of The Voice where the Meaning Of Life hitmaker is acting as a judge. Check out the full list of nominees below!
