New music from Camila Cabello is on the way! The “Consequences” pop princess had a banner year. She kicked it off by simultaneously topping the Billboard Hot 100 and Billboard 200 Albums chart. And it looks like she is already deep into planning a new album. Yesterday (November 2), the 21-year-old provided a brief update on the status of new music in a post celebrating that her debut release has gone platinum. “THIS IS ONE OF THE MOST SPECIAL, MEANINGFUL THINGS IN THE WORLD,” she captioned the photo. “Numbers and awards don’t drive me, but it is really special that this many people wanted to listen to my music.”
The “Havana” chart-topper gushed about the opportunity to finally create her debut album. “It was one of the most special, intoxicating, consuming experiences of my life,” she wrote. “I poured every part of myself into it and it really feels like every song is my baby.” Camila went on to thank her fans for their support and also shouted out producer Franke Dukes. She concluded the message with a hint of what to expect moving forward. “I can’t wait to show you the next chapter soon- it’s already the most special thing I’ve ever worked on and I am already peeing myself.” It remains to be seen when the hitmaker will provide the first taste of new music. However, it will hopefully come sooner than later.
She is currently performing on KIIS FM’s iHeartRadio Jingle Ball 2018, which provides the perfect opportunity for a teaser or two. We’ll have to wait and see. But in the meantime, check out her post below!
