Camila Cabello's 'Camila': Album Review
Does Camila Cabello's self-titled debut album live up to the hype?

The last 24 hours have been kind to Camila Cabello. The rising pop star won big at last night’s American Music Awards (she took home four statues including Collaboration Of The Year and Favorite Song – Pop/Rock) and she performed a new version of “Consequences” live for the first time. The video arrived this morning (October 10) and it’s a big-budget affair with special effects and a cameo from Dylan Sprouse. Directed by Dave Meyers, the clip finds Camila nursing a broken heart on a cold, fall day.

The 21-year-old strolls through a park while memories of her past relationship bounce around her head and ultimately come to life. The juxtaposition of past and present works well and the video shows a more sophisticated side of the “Havana” hitmaker. That also applies to the song. Produced by Emile Haynie (best known for his work with Lana Del Rey), “Consequences (Orchestra)” is an elegantly orchestrated ballad that tugs at the heartstrings without being overly sentimental. Watch the stunning video up top.
