Ciara Is Seriously Lovesick On Slinky New Single, “Thinkin Bout You”
Christmas came early for the Ci-Squad today (March 28). Ciara unveiled the stunning cover of long-awaited 7th LP, Beauty Marks, and shared the tantalizing tracklist, which boasts collaborations with Kelly Rowland and Macklemore. On top of that, the R&B superstar also rolled out a new song. Produced by Space Primates, “Thinkin Bout You” is the fifth single from CiCi’s new album. And, on the first listen, it rivals “Level Up” and the rudely slept-on “Greatest Love” as the best.
“I’ve been thinkin’ ’bout you, wondering who’s stuck in your head at night,” Ciara coos sweetly over funk-infused production. “Wonder if I ever cross your mind, keeping you up in your bed at night.” By the time the song reaches the halfway point, our heroine is seriously lovesick. “Maybe you’re my destiny or maybe just a fantasy,” she ponders. “Maybe it’s just my imagination.” The 33-year-old’s latest is a sugary sweet delight that promises great things for the album.
