Coldplay Announces ‘Kaleidoscope’ EP With New Song “Hypnotised”: Watch The Lyric Video
Coldplay have announced a five-song EP, Kaleidoscope, with the new song “Hypnotised.” The lush, tender-hearted ballad has Chris Martin singing of how the news “is a guidebook for the blues,” though it blooms as he resolves to keep dreaming big. Its lyric video, directed by Mary Wigmore, features Planet Earth-worthy landscapes, though with — nodding to the EP title — kaleidoscopic effects.
You may recall that last year, Chris Martin hinted that Coldplay’s seventh album A Head Full of Dreams could be its last. But he was talking specifically about “conventional,” proper albums, which Kaleidoscope isn’t. Out June 2, the EP also features their Chainsmokers collaboration “Something Just Like This,” released last week.
