Dua Lipa’s “New Rules” is a hit that will not quit. Although it was released in July and topped the charts in the UK last year, it is still steadily climbing the Billboard Hot 100. This week it peaked at the number six spot, but a new rush of promotional appearances could help it soar even higher. The 22-year-old showed the massive breakup anthem some love during her appearance on Saturday Night Live last week, and today (February 13) she took over The Ellen Show for another performance.

Emerging from behind the audience, the hitmaker confidently strutted to the stage where she was joined by a squad of dancers. Dressed in bubblegum pink silk robes to reference the track’s mega-viral video, they delivered sassy choreography. Dua’s vocals were predictably on point, and the performance embodied the single’s playful and rebellious attitude. Toward the end the show’s host Ellen DeGeneres joined in, making for a true moment of girl power!

“New Rules” has displayed some impressive staying power on the charts, and with any luck her latest appearance will help push it into the top 5. Meanwhile, she has a handful of other tracks that are gearing up for a similar rise to the top. Her current single, “IDGAF,” made its debut on the chart last month and reached a new peak this week. As she turns her attention toward promoting it, Dua is sure to have another meteoric run. She also has her Fifty Shades Freed contribution, “Higher.” The Whethan-assisted anthem could become something big as well. Watch her latest performance up top!
