Miley Cyrus Is Releasing New Music Soon
Miley Cyrus is releasing new music soon according to her famous dad.

Miley Cyrus has officially entered the Marvel universe. She voices the Mainframe, an alternate universe of Vision, in a post-credits scene in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2.

“I was watching The Voice and I [thought] she’s so likable and her voice is awesome, she’s got the best voice,” director James Gunn said during a press junket with Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige. “And then I asked Kevin, what do you think about casting Miley Cyrus as the voice of Mainframe? He was like well if you think we can get her… and I got her to do it.” Gunn also told BuzzFeed that he was “admiring the tone of Miley Cyrus’s voice.”

Gunn stresses that the Mainframe in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is different from Mainframe in the comics — as if the surprise, uncredited casting of Miley didn’t already make that clear. “Listen, Mainframe is barely a character in the comics,” he said to BuzzFeed. “My concept of who Mainframe could be is actually pretty far out. I didn’t know Mainframe from the comics, so I knew Miley Cyrus wouldn’t.”

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 opens in theaters May 5. See a trailer below.
