UPDATE: We’re getting close now! Check out some new tweets from Niall hinting at the launch of a new era below. One leads to his website along the promise that “it’s time!” Only problem is that the site keeps crashing… Keep an eye out for more news shortly.

Niall Horan is readying the launch of a new era, and he knows exactly what his fans want to hear. It’s been two years since the 25-year-old unleashed Flicker upon the world. His debut solo album housed breakout hit “Slow Hands” and bowed in at the top spot on the Billboard 200. Yesterday (September 2), he hopped on social media to reflect on the project and its reception. “I’m so happy I wrote my first record ‘Flicker,'” he wrote. “It represented how I felt at the time, what I wanted my intro to solo artistry to sound like, my musical influences came alive in the record.”

“Thank you so much for making my dreams come true and really taking it on board,” he added. But that’s not all. Niall also offered a couple hints about the status of new music. “I’m laying here listening to songs from my new record and I’m so excited to get going. Can’t wait for you to hear the fun I’ve been having over the last year,” he teased. The “On The Loose” crooner also let us know that he was paying attention to how fans responded to his music on tour. And he used that information while crafting his forthcoming sophomore LP.

“Touring ‘Flicker’ and watching the faces of people all over the world every night, you really get an insight into what kinds of things get people dancing, what makes them sad and everything inbetween. So I’ve observed and I’m ready.” It’s safe to say that anticipation for Niall’s new record is very high. And hopefully we won’t have to wait too long to hear new material. The One Direction alum is expected to drop new single “Nice To Meet Ya” sometime this month according to Billboard. During a Capitol Records event he also teased another song called “Put A Little Love On Me.”

While we wait for more news, check out his tweets below.
