Hot Ticket! Avril Lavigne Announces The ‘Head Above Water Tour’

Avril Lavigne is not finished with her Head Above Water era just yet. Earlier this month, the pop/rocker confirmed plans to move forward with “I Fell In Love With The Devil” as the fourth single off the underrated album. And now she’s going on tour. Today (June 24), she hopped on social media to reveal a slew of North American tour dates in support of the LP. “I’m so excited to be announcing the Head Above Water Tour,” she gushed. “It’s finally here!” The show kicks off in Seattle September 14. From there, the 34-year-old hits most major markets before wrapping up in Philadelphia October 11.
This marks Avril’s first time on the road since 2014’s international The Avril Lavigne Tour. Hopefully she’ll announce some additional dates in the coming months. In the meantime, it is great to see that she hasn’t given up on the era. Although the album debuted at number 5 on the Billboard 200, its singles have slid under the radar. The title track broke into the Top 40 on the Hot 100, but every song since has deserved so much more love. Hopefully the tour breathes more life into things.
