Lady Gaga Lands 4th #1 Hit With “Shallow,” Poses For ‘V’ Magazine
Lady Gaga is having one hell of a week. Mother Monster nabs her fourth number one hit on the Billboard Hot 100 with “Shallow,” which received a massive sales boost after she performed the song with Bradley Cooper at the Academy Awards, while the A Star Is Born soundtrack re-peaks at number one of the Billboard 200. Not only that, but the 32-year-old finally had the chance to work with one of her heroes, famed photographer Jean-Paul Goude. He snaps the pop star’s 10th V magazine cover.
“We tried to turn Gaga into a living doll, a living icon, like the figurines that people collect and put on their mantelpiece, but life size,” Jean-Paul explains. It’s fair to say that he achieved his goal. Gaga is dressed, as V Magazine puts it, as an intergalactic Marie Antoinette waving a light saber. In another pic, she poses inside a large packing crate. This collaboration has been a long time coming, but, if these photos are any indication, it was worth the wait. Read V’s interview here. See the cover below.
