Lana Del Rey unveils the lovely cover of 4th LP, 'Lust For Life.'

Lana Del Rey poses for legendary photographer David LaChapelle in the latest issue of Flaunt magazine and the pics are every bit as iconic as you would expect. The pair recreate family photos from different eras (mostly the ’70s) and give different insights into the American experience. It’s whimsical, campy and very, very striking. The dream-pop diva also spoke about the political undertones on her new LP, Lust For Life. “It’s hard to talk about your innermost feelings if you feel the reception will be cold,” she begins. “And I hung back for a while.”

“Sometimes I feel like I’ve got my finger right on the pulse of what’s going on, and then some of my music comes out and it’s like, ‘Fuck, that was a miss. Fuck, that’s not what people feel, at all.’ But with this, I was right there with everyone.” That is in feeling like we, as a country, have sunk into the Upside Down. “I feel like we’re in a bit of a Hitchcockian experience, and you’re in a scenario, and every day you wake up and you can’t believe if the things being said and done are real. And I think some people are questioning if this shit is actually happening.”
