Madonna & Maluma's 'Medellín' Video
The Queen of Pop's blockbuster 'Medellín' video is a rousing act of rebellion.

Madonna is nothing if not a versatile Queen. So far this era, the living legend has delivered a reggaeton banger, a soaring ballad and a hip-hop bop. The sexy 60-year-old now serves up a dancehall-tinged anthem called “Future.” As with M’s previous collaboration with Quavo (the iconic “Champagne Rosé”), this is something of an acquired taste. In that it veers very far from the dance-pop we’re used to and still crave. Having said that, “Future” is not without its charm. For starters, it has an important message.

“Not everyone is coming to the future, not everyone is learning from the past,” Madonna chants over Diplo’s drowsy dancehall beats. “Not everyone can come into the future, not everyone that’s here is gonna last.” Taken in conjunction with the social commentary of “I Rise,” it’s clear that Madame X is going to be a politically-charged affair. The album is also shaping up to be something akin to a world music opus with influences from Latin America, Portugal, Brazil and the Caribbean. Listen to the Queen of Pop’s latest below.
