Miguel and John Legend are great artists in their own right, but imagine what would occur if the two collaborated on a project? Well, that is just what they plan to do this year! But instead of a joint song, the singers will be working on a new film.

Legend’s Get Lifted Film Co. and Furst Films are partnering with IM Global to produce an as-yet-untitled musical romantic drama that will include Grammy-winning Miguel. According to Variety, the “Coffee” singer is in negotiations to star as a “former one-hit wonder who regains his love for music when he is hired to coach an aspiring singer for her audition on a singing competition show.”

This will be Miguel’s acting debut and will also mark the directorial debut of Nabil Elderkin, the visionary behind videos like Lana Del Rey’s “Ultraviolence,” FKA Twigs’ “Two Weeks,” Legend’s “All Of Me,” Bruno Mars’ “Grenade,” G.O.O.D. Music’s “Mercy” and more. Production for the project is expected to begin in September in Philadelphia.
