Miley's 'Younger Now:' Album Review
Miley Cyrus attempts a country-pop reinvention on her sixth LP with mixed results.

Miley Cyrus week on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon continues with a father/daughter duet. The “Younger Now” diva teamed up with Billy Ray Cyrus to perform “Wildflowers” as a tribute to the late Tom Petty. As usual, the (former) pop star delivered an impressive vocal and was ably supported by a full band. However, this ranks as one of her least engaging performances. She performed the song on Howard Stern’s radio show earlier in the week and it sounded considerably better.

It was also distracting to see Miley constantly turn around to look at her dad. They really should have got that man a higher stool. As the week draws to a close, it will be interesting to see if the 25-year-old’s promo blitz has boosted sales. According to Hits Daily Double, Younger Now was only tracking to sell between 30,000 and 40,000 copies. Time will tell. In the meantime, watch the singer in action up top.
