Miley Cyrus Makes It Pretty Clear She Will Not Perform At VMAs

Miley Cyrus has blessed the VMAs with some very iconic moments over the years. However, as it stands, she won’t be adding another performance to the history books in 2019. The 26-year-old is one of several artists that was shockingly absent from this year’s field of nominees. Her timely “Mother’s Daughter” video may have been released after the cut-off point. But MTV overlooked the equally compelling “Nothing Breaks Like A Heart” and her Ashley O. bop “On A Roll.” Fans have been up in arms on social media about the slight. And it looks like the hitmaker is less than enthused as well.

“They care more about a fucking green screen than a message to the world,” one fan wrote on Instagram. “Nominate anyone but at least do not use the image of Miley to promote their damn prizes.” Miley chimed in by writing “exactly” in the comments. Other fans were just as upset. “Guess I’m not watching the VMAS this year,” another wrote. There was one caveat to that decision: “Unless Miley performs.” However, the SHE IS COMING hitmaker appeared to shoot that hope down. “No fuckin way,” she replied in the comments. Revisit her cruelly overlooked Mark Ronson collab below.
