This Will Be Big: OneRepublic Links Up With Galantis On “Bones”

We are only one month into 2019, but it is already shaping up to be a great year for pop music. The last few weeks have delivered bops from the likes of Ariana Grande, Troye Sivan and Lauv, Julia Michaels and more of our favs. And things are just heating up. Today (January 31), OneRepublic and Galantis add another certified banger to the mix with the unveiling of their new collaboration “Bones.” Last year both groups graced us with some seriously high-quality releases. The Ryan Tedder-fronted supergroup hit it out of the park on “Connection,” which had all the makings of a summer smash. Meanwhile the Swede-pop masterminds linked up with the likes of Uffie, MAX and Sofia Carson on a handful of equally compelling singles.

Thus, it is hardly surprising that they have another hit on their hands. Ryan takes the lead on the track, laying his vocals over a vibrant production that screams summer. On it, the hitmaker opens up about the strength of his conviction for a lover. As it turns out, his feelings go deeper than his heart. How deep? I’ll let him spell it out for you. “I feel it in my bones. And I know when it cuts deep down through your chest into your soul. That’s how you know. That’s how I know. I feel it in my bones.” Every element of this screams hit. Hopefully radio support picks up and gives it the wings to take off on the charts in the coming months.
