The time has come. Charli XCX and Lizzo are about to save pop music with their new single “Blame It On Your Love.” The duo sent fans into overdrive earlier this week when they announced the forthcoming collaboration. Arriving today (May 15), it is just as good as you would have expected based on their impeccable discographies. It also likely sounds very familiar to anyone who has listened to Charli’s Pop 2. Why is that? Because the track serves as an update of sorts on the mixtape’s “Track 10.” Produced by Stargate with additional production from A. G. Cook and Finn Keane, the new take is a vibrant explosion of energy.

On it, the “Focus” angel finds herself conflicted about a relationship as it gets more serious. “I just wanna drink you up. Pour you in a silver cup. You know I like to party, but you know I love your body,” Charli chants over skipping beats. Her mixed emotions lead to the massive chorus. “I blame it on your love. Every time I fuck it up, I blame it on your love, I do.” Lizzo’s contribution is every bit as catchy. As an added bonus, it fits in a tribute to her breakout hit “Juice.” With any luck, this will land the pair a massive hit. If the world was fair, it would be a contender for the title of Song Of The Summer because it is just that spectacular.

Keep an eye peeled for an official video. Over the weekend, Charli and Lizzo were snapped on what appeared to be a shoot, leading to speculation that one is in the works. In the meantime, press play on their infectious banger below.
