She’s Coming! Selena Gomez Announces New Single “Bad Liar”
It’s all happening today (May 11). Miley Cyrus returned with “Malibu,” Liam Payne announced his debut single “Strip That Down” and Shakira unveiled the cover of 11th LP El Dorado. Selena Gomez joins the club by revealing that her new single is called “Bad Liar.” The track, which she co-wrote with Justin Tranter, Julia Michaels and Ian Kirkpatrick, is expected to arrive next Thursday (May 18) — at least according to a countdown on the diva’s website. The first taste of SG2 is also rumored to include a sample of an ’80s classic.
“Something new is coming,” the 24-year-old tweeted last week. It was a pretty safe bet that she was referring to new music. After all, Selena has been chipping away at the follow-up to Revival for almost a year. At this point, we know that the “It Ain’t Me” hitmaker has worked with Jacob Kasher (“Sober” and “Feel Me”), frequent collaborators Justin and Julia, and Ryan Tedder. “We’ve done a couple of records, I couldn’t begin to predict what will make her album, but the ones that we did I’m ecstatic about,” the OneRepublic frontman boasted recently.
