‘Suicide Squad’ Tops Both Album Chart & Box Office Yet Again

There’s no change in either the top of the Billboard 200 or the top of last weekend’s box office, as Suicide Squad continues to rule and give DC a much-needed breakout hit. The film, distributed by Warner Bros., spent a third weekend at #1, having earned over $262 million domestically (against its $175 million budget). Meanwhile, the Suicide Squad soundtrack controls the album chart for a second week after racking up another 93,000 equivalent album units (50,000 of which were traditional album sales).

Elsewhere, with Drake‘s Views keeping the runner-up spot on the chart locked up yet again (thanks mostly to its popularity on streaming services, as opposed to actual sales), OVO Sound’s PartyNextDoor sees his sophomore LP PartyNextDoor 3 settle for a somewhat appropriate debut at #3. Just behind him, at #4, is country crooner Justin Moore with his fourth album Kinda Don’t Care.

That leaves Rae Sremmurd to go in at #7 with sophomore album Sremmlife 2. That’s two notches lower than the duo’s debut, Sremmlife, charted at early last year.
