Alesso And Tove Lo Join Forces For “Heroes”: Listen

Stockholm rising stars Alesso and Tove Lo have joined forces in the former’s transcendent dance-pop anthem “Heroes.” Based on an extended snippet, the two use their respective strengths to the song’s advantage. As Alesso’s shiny, club-ready melody begins to chug along, Tove Lo sings of sticking out and being okay with that, despite what anyone else may think (“I know you hear me now, we are a different kind / We can do anything”).

While Alesso has yet to announce when he will release a full version of “Heroes,” the song’s bound to arrive as he and Tove Lo gear up to end 2014 with a bang. Last month, Alesso became the second DJ to sign to Def Jam, which he announced with his grimy banger “Tear the Roof Up.” And earlier this week, Tove Lo (also one of Idolator’s 11 Hot Imports) revealed that she will follow up her Truth Serum EP with her debut album Queen of the Clouds, out September 30.
