Alums old and new came out last night to attend the Season 10 finale of American Idol. On hand were Adam Lambert (who has apparently gone from experimenting with the hair on his face, to experimenting with the hair on his head) and boyfriend Sauli Koskinen, David Archuleta, “Before He Cheats” performer Carrie Underwood, Kris Allen, David Cook, Pia Toscano, James Durbin, Haley Reinhart and, of course, finalists Scotty McCreery and Lauren Alaina. Idol creator Simon Fuller was honored today with his own star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame. There to celebrate with the manager/producer were some familiar faces from Season 10 including Wango Tango performer Pia Toscano, Paul McDonald, Scotty McCreery, Lauren Alaina, and Haley Reinhart. “Walk This Way” singer Carrie Underwood and Idol addict Jennifer Lopez were there to commemorate the event as well. We all know at this point that the winners of American Idol aren’t the only contestants who are pretty much guaranteed to release an album after the season’s run. Runners-up are always expected to drop an album around the same time as the champ (and in some cases, they do even better on the charts than the singer America voted for). Since even those who get the bronze have a good shot at scoring a record deal, it’s safe to assume we’ll be getting original tunes from all of Season 10’s Top 3 — Scotty McCreery, Lauren Alaina and Haley Reinhart — in the not so distant future, no matter what order they place.
