While American Idols Live! tour might be cancelling dates, there was one city they weren’t going to miss: the home of American Idol, Los Angeles. Season 9’s Top 10 rocked L.A.’s Staples Center this past Friday, August 13th. This “unlucky” day, turned out to be a very fortunate night for Idol fans who were treated to Andrew Garcia’s infamous rendition of “Straight Up”, Crystal Bowersox’s crowd-pleaser “Piece Of My Heart”, and winner Lee DeWyze’s “Rocket Man”—which sent the crowd out of orbit. If you’ve been going through American Idol withdrawal, don’t fret, Season 9’s Top 10 just kicked off their 2010 American Idols Live! tour last night in Auburn Hills, Michigan. The group thrilled the crowd with hits like Miley Cyrus’ “The Climb” and Kelly Clarkson’s “My Life Would Suck Without You”. Our dreadlocked runner-up Crystal Bowersox rocked some of Season 9’s favorites, including “Piece Of My Heart” and “Up To The Mountain”, while Lee DeWyze performed his single “Beautiful Day”.
