caught11Fall Out Boy’s “Headfirst Slide Into Cooperstown On A Bad Bet” now has a video, a clip that was apparently shot in the space of four hours and that fuses Weekend At Bernie’s with a rollercoaster-filled trip to the amusement park. (Yes, the brief Absolute Punk-referencing clip featuring Wentz’s body being discovered by Spencer Smith and Brendon Urie of Panic! At The Disco that leaked last week was a trailer for the video.) Clip after the jump. More »

caught1A clip that seems like a very brief “epilogue” of sorts to Fall Out Boy’s “What A Catch, Donnie” video shows Panic! At The Disco’s Spencer Smith and Brendon Urie finding FOB bassist Pete Wentz washed up on a beach, and debating whether to alert the authorities or the media (specifically, Jason Tate of Idolator sibling site AbsolutePunk) about their findings first. What could it mean? (Also, I guess there are a lot of people who might also ask “what would you do,” which, sigh.) [AbsolutePunk] More »

brendonspencer“New Perspective,” the first track from Panic! At The Disco to be released since the band split in two a few weeks ago, and it’s a pretty fun little rock song, one that Diablo Cody will no doubt use to soundtrack an annoying-witticism-filled party scene during Jennifer’s Body. (“New Perspective” appears on that forthcoming vampire flick’s soundtrack.) More »

The “Jennifer’s Body” Soundtrack Might Be The Most Idolator-Ish Release Of The Year

jennifers_bodyMuch as I hate to admit it, the people putting together the soundtrack for Diablo Cody’s emo-leaning, Megan Fox-enhanced entrant into the vampire genre Jennifer’s Body might very well have compiled an album that will prove to be the 2009 equivalent of, say, the Batman Forever soundtrack (or at least the album accompanying Batman & Robin) as far as summing up a very particular pop aesthetic at a very particular point in time. Well, at least I’m supporting Amanda Seyfried’s acting efforts, I guess. Track list after the jump. More »
