Friday night R. Kelly performed in New York at the former Felt Forum, now a theater named after a bank that went belly-up because of the excesses of the previous decade. The tour was Kells’ “Ladies Make Some Noise Tour,” in which the default mode for the evening involved a) ladies b) making some noise, particularly when lyrics involving doing the nasty were thrust from the stage. American Idol smoothie Anoop Desai’s favorite song of right now is “Boyfriend #2,” the new single by former Pretty Ricky member Pleasure “Marcus Cooper” P. It’s a decent slice of salacious “I’m better than your man” R & B, but I really hope that the Tweet announcing this love isn’t a sign that Anoop is going to enter Pleasure’s ex-bandmate’s grinding contest.
