We’ve been following Madonna and daughter Lola’s clothing line Material Girl since they named Pretty Reckless frontwoman Taylor Momsen as their spokesmodel, and last night, the line of teen girl rocker duds finally launched at Macy’s in New York City. Lourdes, who is fashion plate in her own right, posed on the red carpet along with her mother and the Gossip Girl star —who, as usual, donned more eyeliner than clothing. One glance at the bill for this year’s V Festival, and it’s easy to see how the annual double venue music spectacular sold out in a mere 90 minutes. From Elly Jackson’s giant black druid-esque hood, to Kate Nash‘s fringed unitard, the theme for the festival’s second day seemed to be “Outrageous Outfits”. None of the artists, however, could compare to Goldfrapp‘s bizarre —but wonderful—jacket that looked as though it was made from discarded VHS tapes. The Gossip Girl turned lead singer of rock ‘n roll outfit The Pretty Reckless, wore her standard rock n’ roll “uniform”: thigh highs, garter belt, crucifics, dark shadow and heavy liner, and an oversized t-shirt as a dress. She chatted with MTV about her personal style, her beauty routine, and firing her stylist.
